FALL RIVER, Mass. (WLNE) — The Fall River Police Department said that a man was arrested after a search warrant was executed on June 5.

23-year-old Jazer Hernandez Vergara was charged with possession of a large capacity firearm, possession of a firearm without an FID card, possession of ammunition without an FID card, and possession of a firearm with two prior violent/drug crime convictions.

Police executed a search on a residence on Rodman Street and allegedly found a Glock 26 9mm handgun loaded with six rounds of ammunition.

The department said Vergara had prior firearm-related convictions and was unable to obtain a license to carry.

He was then arrested.
