JONES COUNTY, Miss. (WHLT) – Authorities are searching for a driver after a crash critically injured one person in Jones County.

The crash occurred on Highway 184 in the Powers community on October 4, 2025.

Two arrested for staging Hattiesburg armed robbery

According to Powers Fire & Rescue, the driver of a Polaris Ranger was ejected from the vehicle. He was transported to South Central Regional Medical Center and then airlifted to a regional trauma center.

Officials said the driver of the second vehicle, a Chevrolet Impala, ran away from the scene and is being sought by law enforcement.

The Mississippi Highway Patrol (MHP) is investigating the crash.
