USA TODAY named its 2026 Bars of the Year, highlighting 38 standout bars across the United States, ranging from dive bars and beach bars to upscale speakeasies.

Named in no particular order, The Greenroom in Lafayette, Louisiana, located at 229 Jefferson St., made the list.

The downtown Lafayette bar offers a wide variety of spirits, craft, draft and imported beers. Inside, guests can enjoy drinks and games, from pool tables, shuffleboard, and foosball. According to USA TODAY, for more than two decades, The Greenroom has quietly built a reputation as one of downtown Lafayette’s most beloved gathering places.

“What truly sets The Greenroom apart, though, is the crowd itself,” USA TODAY wrote.
