A swift response by Capital City Fire Rescue (CCFR) crews on Wednesday morning prevented a vehicle fire from consuming a Lemon Creek home.

CCFR personnel responded to the fire on Gull Way which spread to the exterior of an adjacent building and broke an exterior window. Crews worked to extinguish the flames to prevent further fire spread, and provided assistance to the occupants of the home.

Responding units included Engine 31, Engine 11, Medic 1, Medic 3, and battalion 1. Volunteer firefighters and off-duty career personnel also responded, staffing Engine 41 and Truck 32 to assist with fireground operations.

”This incident highlights the importance of a coordinated response and the dedication of our career and volunteer firefighters, including those who answer the call while off duty,” CCFR stated. “Proud of our entire CCFR team for their quick response, teamwork, and continued commitment to protecting the Juneau community.”

No injuries were reported and the cause of the fire has not yet been revealed.
