A Bay Area high schooler has been missing for nearly a week as law enforcement and his loved ones continue the search. Chace Finn, 16, left his home in Petaluma on Tuesday without telling his family where he was going. Later that day, he was spotted in downtown Petaluma and, after that, he was seen in the Civic Center area of San Rafael. He left without a phone or way to communicate, and his parents haven’t heard from him since Tuesday morning.
Chace’s mother, Nadine Finn, works as an educator in the Cotati-Rohnert Park Unified School District, which issued a plea for help on Facebook over the weekend.
“If you have heard from Chace, know where he may be, or have any details that could help, please do not stay silent,” the post read, asking students to tell their parents if they knew anything.
Chace is known to frequent Leghorn Park, the Phoenix Theatre and the Target in Petaluma, police said. He may also have gone to visit a friend in Windsor, Petaluma police said. He is 5-foot-9, has medium-length brown hair, brown eyes and a scar on his lip. He was wearing a gray hoodie and black sweatpants when he was last seen.
“I love him, and I miss him, and I want him home and safe, and we’ll do anything to bring him home,” Nadine Finn said in a statement.
Anyone with information about Chace’s whereabouts is asked to call Petaluma police at 707- 762-2727 and reference case number 26-1526.
