ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. – The Albuquerque International Balloon Fiesta has released its 2026 Official Serigraph Poster, featuring local artist Travis Bruce Black’s roadrunner design.
The ExxonMobil Albuquerque International Balloon Fiesta released the collectible poster and said Black created this year’s artwork as part of a tradition that started in 1979.
Black came to New Mexico from Michigan in 2005 to attend the University of New Mexico. Balloon Fiesta said his 2026 poster, Chirp409 Manifiesta, shows a roadrunner against a bright New Mexico sky with hot air balloons in geometric patterns and Southwest colors.
“I came to Albuquerque as a student,” Black said. “I stayed because of the community, the food, the sky, and an art scene that operates more like a family. I recognized the strange beauty of this place the moment I arrived. I hope the work reflects that.”
Black co-founded Bright Rain Gallery in Old Town and moved to full-time painting in 2011. Balloon Fiesta said his studio work includes watercolor, acrylic and mixed media in his Chirp, User Interface and Life Arrangement series.
Signed and non-signed prints are available at the Balloon Fiesta gift shop at 4401 Alameda Boulevard NE in Albuquerque, online at balloonfiestastuff.com and at the Official Balloon Fiesta Merchandise Tent during the event.
