Turkmenistan and International Organization for Migration discuss priority areas of cooperation

AKIPRESS.COM – Minister of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan Rashid Meredov held a meeting with Chief of Mission of the International Organization for Migration (IOM) in Kazakhstan and IOM Coordinator for Central Asian Countries Serhan Aktoprak on August 12, the Foreign Ministry of Turkmenistan reported.

The sides identified priority areas of cooperation, including migration management, protection of migrants’ rights, and the development of regional cooperation.

The importance of taking into account environmental factors and the principles of sustainable development of the Caspian region in international and regional cooperation was also emphasized.
