President Japarov meets with EAEU heads of government in Issyk-Kul
AKIPRESS.COM – President Sadyr Japarov met with the heads of government of the Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU) member states on August 7 in Cholpon-Ata, Issyk-Kul region, where they arrived to participate in a regular meeting of the Eurasian Intergovernmental Council.
The meeting was attended by Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers of Kyrgyzstan Adylbek Kasymaliev, Prime Minister of Armenia Nikol Pashinyan, Prime Minister of Belarus Alexander Turchin, Prime Minister of Kazakhstan Olzhas Bektenov, Prime Minister of Russia Mikhail Mishustin, as well as Uzbekistan’s Prime Minister Abdulla Aripov, who participated as a representative of an EAEU observer state. Chairman of the Board of the Eurasian Economic Commission Bakytzhan Sagintayev also took part in the meeting.
In his welcoming remarks, President Japarov emphasized that Kyrgyzstan views the EAEU as an important platform for developing equal and mutually beneficial partnerships, deepening economic integration, and implementing joint projects.
He reaffirmed Kyrgyzstan’s commitment to actively participating in the Union’s activities.
Japarov noted that the next Eurasian Economic Forum will be held in Kyrgyzstan in 2027 as part of the country’s chairmanship in the EAEU bodies. He also proposed expanding the forum’s participation by inviting partner countries and international organizations.
The President paid particular attention to the need to intensify joint cooperation projects in the industrial and agro-industrial sectors, as well as ensuring equal access for all EAEU member states to existing support and financing mechanisms.
