OTS Secretary General and Turkish Foreign Minister discuss preparations for upcoming OTS Summit
AKIPRESS.COM – Secretary General of the Organization of Turkic States Kubanychbek Omuraliev met with Turkish Minister of Foreign Affairs Hakan Fidan on September 8 in Ankara.
The OTS Secretary General and the Foreign Minister discussed preparations for the upcoming 13th Summit of the OTS to be hosted in Ankara, including organizational and substantive matters related to the Summit and its expected outcomes.
The sides also exchanged views on the OTS Strategy for 2027-2031, which will provide strategic framework for the Organization’s activities and priorities in the coming period, as well as on steps aimed at further strengthening the institutional capacity and effectiveness of the OTS.
The Secretary General expressed his appreciation for Türkiye’s strong and consistent support for the Organization and its initiatives, and highlighted Türkiye’s important role in advancing cooperation, solidarity and coordination among the Turkic States.
The Minister reaffirmed his commitment to close coordination in the run-up to the 13th Summit and to further strengthening the OTS as an effective platform for comprehensive cooperation among the Turkic States.
