OTS Secretary General: 100th anniversary of First Turkological Congress is of historical significance

AKIPRESS.COM – “This meeting is of great historical significance for our peoples,” Secretary General of the Organization of Turkic States Kubanychbek Omuraliev told journalists as part of the “Turkic World Week” dedicated to the 100th anniversary of the First Turkological Congress, APA reports.

“This is not only about our language and alphabet; it is the greatest legacy for future generations. We remember the historic congress that our ancestors once held here in the city of Baku. One hundred years later, we are celebrating the anniversary of that historic congress. I would like to remind you that the foundation for the 100th anniversary event was laid last year at the Gabala Summit on the initiative of esteemed President Ilham Aliyev,” the OTS Secretary General emphasized.
