Kyrgyzstan has come a long way in strengthening its statehood over 35 years – OTS Secretary General
AKIPRESS.COM – OTS Secretary General Kubanychbek Omuraliev congratulated Kyrgyzstan on the 35th anniversary of its Independence.
Over the past thirty-five years, Kyrgyzstan has come a long way in strengthening its statehood, building strong institutions and enhancing its standing on the international stage, the OTS Secretary General said.
Among the major achievements of recent years, the OTS Secretary General highlighted the resolution of border issues, the launch of construction of the China-Kyrgyzstan-Uzbekistan railway, the construction of the Kambar-Ata-1 hydropower plant, as well as Kyrgyzstan’s historic election, for the first time, as a non-permanent member of the United Nations Security Council for the 2027-2028 term.
Kyrgyzstan continues to advance reforms and demonstrate strong socio-economic growth under President Japarov’s leadership.
As one of the founding member states of the Organization of Turkic States, Kyrgyzstan has played an important role in strengthening the unity of the Turkic world, expanding connectivity and economic cooperation, and preserving and promoting our shared historical and cultural heritage, the OTS Secretary-General stressed.
“On this special day, I wish the people of Kyrgyzstan peace, prosperity and well-being. May our country continue to move forward with confidence, achieve new successes and build an even brighter future,” the OTS Secretary-General concluded.
