Argentina unveils world’s tallest statue of Lionel Messi
AKIPRESS.COM – A 26-meter-tall statue of Lionel Messi has been unveiled in Cutral Có, Argentina, honoring the eight-time Ballon d’Or winner and World Cup champion, reports say.
The 70-ton sculpture depicts Messi in an Argentina national team kit, kneeling with a raised arm beside a World Cup trophy.
The monument was created by artist Aldo Beroisa and reportedly took about a year to complete.
Lionel Messi is the top scorer of FC Barcelona, La Liga, and the Argentina national team.
