10th meeting of Mongolian-Turkish intergovernmental committee takes place in Ulaanbaatar
AKIPRESS.COM – The 10th meeting of the Mongolian-Turkish intergovernmental committee on economy and trade took place in Ulaanbaatar on May 11, MiddleAsianNews reported.
The meeting was chaired by Minister of Defense of Mongolia Batlout Damba and Minister of Interior of Turkey Mustafa Ciftci, who also serves as the Committee Chairman of the Turkish side.
The sides discussed various aspects of strengthening the strategic partnership between Mongolia and Turkey. Participants examined ways to enrich cooperation in the economic sphere, as well as in areas such as defense, environmental protection, transportation, culture, education, geology, and agriculture. Emphasis was also placed on the joint implementation of major projects that could become symbols of bilateral relations.
The protocol on the results of the 10th meeting was signed by Minister of Defense Batlout Damba and Minister of Interior Mustafa Ciftci. Currently, Mustafa Ciftci is holding official meetings with Deputy Prime Minister of Mongolia Nomtoibayar Nyamtayshir and Minister of Justice and Internal Affairs Amarsaihan Sainbuyan in Ulaanbaatar. The main focus of these meetings is on issues of emergency situations, regional development, and law enforcement cooperation.
