President of Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon and Chairman of Dushanbe Rustam Emomali participated on September 2 in the opening of a number of social facilities in the capital. During the events, the head of state presented holiday gifts to 151 orphaned children.
Gifts to children were presented during the opening of the new “Akhmadjon” service center in the Firdavsi district of Dushanbe. The complex with an area of 11 thousand square meters was built with the participation of entrepreneur Mustaffo Atobulloev, the press service reports of the head of state.
The building houses a shopping center, three dining halls, a restaurant with 150 seats, a children’s entertainment center, a hotel with 18 rooms, a conference hall and office spaces. The complex also includes a billiard room, a sports and entertainment hall and a parking lot.
Solar panels are installed on the roof of the building, which provide part of the facility’s electricity needs. After opening, 250 jobs will be created at the center.

On the same day, Emomali Rahmon and Rustami Emomali put into operation a new building of the non-state educational institution “Imkon” on Akhror Street in Dushanbe. The modern school is designed for 800 students and was built by entrepreneurs — brothers Valijohn, Piran and Payrav Akhmedov.
The institution is equipped with 59 classrooms and specialized offices for the study of information technology, vocational training and crafts, biology, physics, fine arts and foreign languages. Classes are conducted mainly in Tajik, Russian and English, and Chinese language instruction is planned for the future.
The school employs 34 teachers, 90% of whom are women. Students also have conditions for sports and creative activities: the building has a dining hall with 290 seats, a sports hall, two swimming pools separate for boys and girls, an assembly hall with 180 seats, a winter garden and a shooting range for initial military training classes.
Emomali Rahmon noted that creating modern conditions for the education and upbringing of youth, as well as improving the quality of education, are among the key directions of the state’s social policy. He called on teachers to effectively use the created opportunities and pay attention to the preparation of an educated and patriotic generation.
