Tuia says the allegations are in relation to the Manawanui sinking, off the coastal waters of Safata.

“O loo faapea fo’i ona folasia ai se molimau a le alii faasalalau o Sioeli Sooalo Alofaifo.”
In a post by Tuia’s wife and lawyer, afioga Maiava Visekota Peteru, she says there are “six allegations relating to the Manawanui compensation, paid to the candidates themselves and others.”
“Interestingly Sooalo of 685 Radio is also an accuser.”
Both Tuia and Maiava urge constituent supporters to remain calm.
“We are at peace and we thank ALL our supporters and aiga. The TRUTH will prevail.”
“Le paia e, o le tatou Itumalo ia to’a pea le tai,” posts the by-election winner.
Tuia expresses his affection and appreciation for the people of Safata 2 and thanked them for their continued prayers and support.
