Tonight (Friday), one half of 93KHJ’s Morning Show “Samoan Sunrise” leaves the island for Washington State.

Keziah “Sia” Atofau joined John Raynar on 93KHJ’s Morning Show nearly 20 years ago. She’s been waking up weekday mornings across American Samoa with laughter and joy ever since.

Off the air, Sia kept just as busy. She worked marketing, sales, and collections, helping the company grow in ways listeners never saw. When something broke at the transmitter site on Olotele and Big Boss Joey was off island, Sia often got the call to fix it. She has been the glue holding the stations and the people together.

South Seas Broadcasting VP/GM Joey Cummings said: “For 18 years and 5 months, Sia has been an indispensable part of what we do. Countless early mornings on 93KHJ, thousands of interviews, hundreds of businesses and customers… natural disasters, weddings, births, funerals… Sia has been through everything with us. We are proud of her. We are grateful to have served this community together.”
