Cabinet Appoints Lealali Faletoese Asaua as New CEO for SNPF

18 July 2026 Apia Samoa Cabinet has announced its appointment of Lealali Faletoese Asaua to succeed Lemalu Selesitina Meni-Reti as Chief Executive Officer of the Samoa National Provident Fund.

The new CEO of SNPF is a Chartered Accountant by profession and a member of the Samoa Institute of Accountants.

He will be contracted for a three-year term to lead Samoa’s compulsory saving scheme.

“Mr. Lealali is a highly accomplished finance professional with nearly 30 years of experience in the international, regional, and public sectors.”

“He holds a Master of Business Administration [Gold Medal] from the University of the South Pacific, Fiji, a Bachelor of Laws from U.S.P. Samoa, and a Bachelor of Business [Accounting] from Victoria University, Australia.”

The Government expresses their gratitude and appreciation to Afioga Lemalu Selesitina for her time as the CEO of SNPF.
