The First Water Fountain Generated by Atmospheric Humidity was Unveiled at Omar Park in Panama

This innovative technology operates using renewable energy through solar panels, allowing the air to be purified and condensed to provide free drinking water to visitors, without the need for wells or external pipes, the First Lady’s office reported.  The system, which is fully autonomous and operates continuously year-round, has a low environmental impact and requires no replaceable filters. Furthermore, the water produced has received the necessary quality and safety certifications from the Panamanian Ministry of Health (MINSA) and internationally accredited laboratories, guaranteeing its complete safety for park users.

Alexander Ermakov, manager of Alternative Water, Corp., explained that this technology originated as a social responsibility program aimed at donating equipment to vulnerable and hard-to-reach communities where the water supply is limited.  For her part, the director of Omar Park, María del Carmen Salaverry, emphasized that the initiative strengthens the park’s commitment to sustainability, environmental stewardship, and community well-being. With this installation, Omar Park becomes the first public space in the country to adopt this type of sustainable solution.  This first source marks the starting point of a larger project, with which Alternative Water, Corp. seeks to expand the technology to remote rural areas to reduce the gaps in access to drinking water in Panama.
