The citizen was returned to Canada, his country of origin, after the inadmissibility protocol was activated at Tocumen International Airport.  According to the National Migration Service, the detection occurred during the verification procedures applied to each person attempting to enter the country. After cross-referencing information and conducting a risk analysis, the authorities confirmed the alert and proceeded with the measure.

“No indication is overlooked,” Migration stated, warning that anyone who poses a security risk or maintains links with groups that promote violence will find an immediate response at checkpoints.  The institution indicated that the measure was implemented in accordance with current regulations and assured that it maintains its security filters active.  “Panama’s security is not negotiable or to be omitted,” the National Migration Service emphasized.
