INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) — Temperatures are expected to remain above average through the weekend. Several cold fronts and storm systems will give us a chance of rain & storms over the coming days.
WEDNESDAY EVENING/NIGHT:
A few showers & storms are possible during the evening, especially northeast of Indianapolis. This activity will gradually wind down. Winds ease and lows should be mainly in the mid to upper 50s.
THURSDAY:
Partly cloudy, breezy, and warm conditions return. Highs in the upper 70s to lower 80s can be expected. The air will remain on the dry side so while it’ll be warm it won’t be too humid or uncomfortable. Conditions will be just about perfect for the IU spring football game Thursday evening in Bloomington.
THURSDAY NIGHT:
Fair skies with mild temperatures in the lower 60s.
FRIDAY:
A cold front will spark scattered showers and storms. While some storms could occur, it doesn’t look like we’ll have a widespread severe weather threat in Central Indiana. Highs will be in the mid to upper 70s.
WEEKEND:
A few showers could linger early Saturday, especially southeast of Indianapolis. As a whole, most of our area should experience a dry weekend with highs in the 70s.
7 DAY FORECAST:
A strong storm system early next week is going to give Central Indiana a pretty good chance of rain & storms on Monday. Some of these could be strong to severe so stay tuned for details as we get closer.
Temperatures may trend a bit cooler again for the middle of next week in the wake of Monday’s system.
