FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WISH) — A 23-year-old Fort Wayne man on Friday was sentenced to 140 years in prison for the murders of two teenagers in 2024, court records show.
A jury in March found Dionee White guilty of fatally shooting Adaija Okey, a 17-year-old senior at Snider High School, and Lamarion Bailey, 18.
Fort Wayne Police Department said its officers found the bodies of Bailey and Okey were found just before 8 p.m. Jan. 29, 2024, in a vehicle in the 700 block of Romy Avenue. That’s in a residential area just off the St. Joseph River in the Northside neighborhood. It’s just north of downtown.
Authorities have also charged Uronne Washington, 19, with the murders. He was 17 at the time of the fatal shooting, and his case was later moved into adult court. Online court records show he’s scheduled for a four-day jury trial starting July 29.
Washington and White remained in the Allen County jail on Friday night.
