WASHINGTON — U.S. President Donald Trump has issued a stark warning to Iran, calling ongoing efforts to reach a peace agreement a “last chance” to avoid further escalation.
In an interview with Fox News, Trump said Washington would not repeat what he described as the mistakes of former President Barack Obama’s administration, which signed the 2015 nuclear deal with Tehran.
“If Iran does not sign this deal, the whole country is getting blown up,” Trump said, underscoring the high stakes of the negotiations.
His remarks come amid heightened regional tensions and renewed diplomatic pressure on Tehran to reach a settlement.
