Film Artists Association elects Uttam KC as President

Kathmandu, May 18

Uttam KC has been elected president of the Film Artists Association. According to the vote count announced late Sunday night, KC secured victory with 216 votes.

His rival, Sabin Shrestha, received 132 votes. A total of 356 votes were cast in the election. Poojana Pradhan was elected women’s vice-president with 144 votes, while Shivahari Bairagi won the vice-president post with 146 votes.

Sunil Katuwal was elected general secretary with 195 votes. Gopal Dhakal won the secretary position with 214 votes. Tejula Khatiwada was elected treasurer with 149 votes, while Pawan KC won the joint treasurer post with 161 votes.

The elected members include Indra Bahadur Lama, Chandrakala Dahal, Chandrakala Rai, Chhulthim Gurung, Jeevan Thapa, Daman Rupakheti, Nabin Kumar Shrestha, Rashmi Bhatt, Shridev Bhattarai and Suleman.
