The Myanmar Tourism Federation (MTF) and CB Bank held a meeting on 14 July regarding digital transformation and collaboration on digital payment systems for the tourism sector.
The Chair and members of the Federation’s Members Affairs Committee hosted Daw Ohnma Aye, CB Bank’s Senior Deputy General Manager and Head of Integrated Marketing Department and another official.
The discussions primarily focused on enabling members to easily pay membership fees and other services, using the MMQR system and integrating payment systems into the Federation’s online platforms.
CB Bank officials presented their offer of fairer service fees for members, along with faster checkpoint systems for organizations and methods to facilitate the auditing process. They also discussed matters on issuing credit cards for MSME tourism entrepreneurs and providing insurance and loan services.
Furthermore, both sides agreed to organize webinars on digital payments and to hold in-person technical information sessions for the Federation’s affiliated associations. This collaboration aims to establish a better and more convenient payment system for Myanmar’s tourism sector. — NN/KK
