Former Deputy Chairman of the State Council, Musa Faraj, said that the re-election of Mohamed Tekala confirms Tekala’s continued leadership of the council. Faraj believes the newly formed presidential office has an opportunity to overcome obstacles facing the council’s unification and to help resolve the current political deadlock.

Faraj told Al Jazeera Net that the next stage requires all political parties to recognize the necessity of national partnership. He said this approach would allow broader agreements on political and constitutional issues.

Faraj also stressed the need to achieve constitutional requirements and hold general elections to end the transitional period. He emphasized the importance of addressing social and humanitarian issues, with priority given to transitional justice, national reconciliation, and the situation of displaced persons.
