Libyan Armed Forces Deputy Commander Saddam Haftar Meets French President Macron in Paris

Paris — Libyan Armed Forces Deputy Commander Gen. Saddam Haftar met with French President Emmanuel Macron at the Élysée Palace during an official visit to the French capital.

During the meeting, Gen. Haftar conveyed greetings from the Commander-in-Chief of the Libyan Armed Forces, Marshal Khalifa Haftar, to the French president. He praised the bilateral relations between Libya and France, noting their development across various sectors, particularly in security and military cooperation.

For his part, President Macron welcomed the deputy commander, emphasizing the importance of continued dialogue and coordination between the two nations. Macron reaffirmed France’s support for initiatives aimed at consolidating stability in Libya and developing mutual cooperation to serve shared interests and bolster regional security.
