Al-Farouq Lighthouse in Tajoura Celebrates Six Students Who Have Completed Memorizing the Quran

Tripoli – The Al-Farouq Center for Quran Memorization, affiliated with the Ministry of Awqaf and Islamic Affairs in Tripoli, honored six students who completed memorizing the Quran. More than 300 attendees, including religious scholars, Quran memorizers, students’ families, and friends, joined the celebration.

Ahmed Al-Zarqani, spokesperson for the center, told Al-Anba Al-Libya newspaper that the event was dedicated to recognizing the six students who finished memorizing the Quran under the guidance of their teacher, Hatem Abdelmajid. He noted that the students were relatively young for this significant achievement.

The ceremony featured presentations of the six honored students, the distribution of gifts, and recitations from the end of Surah Al-Baqarah. A video report about the occasion was also shown. Many prominent religious scholars and distinguished Quran memorizers who had earned high rankings in local and international competitions attended the event.

The celebration began with an address from Sheikh Omar Saeed, head of the Awqaf unit in Tajoura. Sheikh Naji Atiyah bin Salman, who won first place in an international competition in Saudi Arabia, delivered a Quran recitation afterward.

Al-Zarqani added that the event was well-organized and marked by an atmosphere of happiness, pride, and honor for the six students. He emphasized that celebrating Quran memorizers encourages students to continue their memorization and highlights the significant achievements reached by young people.
