Libya’s Arabian Gulf Oil Company (AGOCO) revealed yesterday that it held ‘‘a comprehensive working meeting’’ with BP at its Industrial Security Department Manager’s office.
The meeting follows on from the meeting held last Wednesday with BP to follow up on coordination steps agreed upon in previous meetings, aiming to translate ambitious plans into tangible results.
Yesterday’s meeting was attended by Mr. Idris Al-Rafadi, the company’s Industrial Security Department Manager, accompanied by department coordinators, and a delegation from BP—represented by Mahmoud Ismail, Vice President and General Manager for Libya, and Orhan Turkmenoglu, the company’s International Security Manager.
Aligning with highest global practices and standards in industrial security
The participants discussed several vital topics aimed at strengthening cooperation between the two parties to ensure a safe and stable work environment aligned with the highest global practices and standards in industrial security.
The attendees also reviewed ways to enhance existing security procedures and raise awareness regarding potential risks, while emphasizing the importance of implementing effective programmes and plans to protect personnel and assets and ensure the continuity of operations with high efficiency.
AGOCO said the meeting reflects its ongoing commitment to developing its security and safety systems and strengthening relationships with strategic partners to ensure the highest levels of security performance across all company sites.
