AGOCO and Mining Company Discuss Flared Gas and Oil-Water Separation

The Chairman of Libya’s eastern based Arabian Gulf Oil Company (AGOCO), Mohamed bin Shatwan, held a meeting in his office last Tuesday (5 August) with a delegation from the Mining Company to discuss ways to enhance cooperation in the fields of energy and related industries.

​The discussion during the meeting focused on mechanisms for optimising the exploitation and development of flared gas, as well as discussing advanced technical ways to address the separation of oil from water and benefit from the outputs in sustainable and environmentally safe ways.

​The meeting concluded by emphasizing the importance of continuing coordination and intensifying technical efforts to study the proposed projects and put them into practice, in a way that achieves the strategic goals of both parties and supports standards of environmental sustainability and operational efficiency.
