President of Kyrgyzstan Sadyr Japarov and Georgian Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze attended an ethnocultural program at Issyk-Kul Lake during the Georgian prime minister’s official visit to Kyrgyzstan.
The event took place at Nomad ethnocomplex in the village of Bosteri. According to the presidential administration, the guests were welcomed by participants in an ethnographic performance showcasing elements of Kyrgyz culture, hunting traditions, and martial arts. A concert program featuring an akyn-improviser was also organized for the high-level guests.
Sadyr Japarov and Irakli Kobakhidze later visited a yurt village displaying the traditional lifestyle of the Kyrgyz people, the process of making komuz musical instrument, an exhibition of national musical instruments, and traditional handicrafts. The guests observed artisans producing felt goods, silver jewelry, clay pottery, and blacksmith items.
The event concluded with demonstrations of traditional horseback games and hunting practices. The leaders of the two countries were shown eagle hunting, the traditional horseback game kyz kuumai, trick riding, archery, and a parade of stunt riders.
Irakli Kobakhidze paid the first official visit to Kyrgyzstan in the history of bilateral relations. Following talks with Sadyr Japarov, a package of 11 bilateral documents was signed.
