An expanded meeting of the Supreme Eurasian Economic Council (SEEC) is taking place in Astana, the presidential press service reported.

The event is attended by the Presidents of Kyrgyzstan Sadyr Japarov, Kazakhstan Kassym-Jomart Tokayev, Russia Vladimir Putin, Belarus Alexander Lukashenko, as well as Armenian Deputy Prime Minister Mher Grigoryan.

Heads of delegations from EAEU observer states also joined the meeting, including President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev, Vice President of Cuba Salvador Mesa, and Minister of Industry, Mine and Trade of Iran Seyed Atabak.

Before the start of the meeting, participants took a group photo and then proceeded to the meeting hall for the expanded-format talks.

Earlier, discussions were held in a narrow format.

A number of documents are expected to be signed following the results of the meeting.
