Kyrgyzstan and Uzbekistan will be able to conduct joint research in the pharmaceutical sector.
Akylbek Turatbek uulu, director of Kyrgyzfarmatsiya state enterprise, and Abdulla Azizov, director of Uzbekistan’s Agency for the Development of the Medical and Pharmaceutical Industry, signed a memorandum of understanding.
The document outlines the main areas of cooperation, including:
- exchange of knowledge and best practices;
- promotion of mutual trade and attraction of investment;
- development and modernization of production facilities;
- joint research and introduction of innovations;
- participation in international exhibitions and business missions.
«The signing of the memorandum was a logical outcome of the negotiations and confirms the mutual commitment to integration and strengthening partnership ties between the pharmaceutical sectors of Kyrgyzstan and Uzbekistan. The cooperation will continue for three years, with the possibility of automatic extension. Joint pilot projects and training programs are ahead,» the state enterprise said.
