Chairman of the State Border Service of Kyrgyzstan Major General Abdikarim Alimbaev made a working visit to Leilek district of Batken region, where he inspected border security arrangements and the progress of engineering works along the frontier.
He visited the Tash-Bulak and Kairagach border outposts, as well as the temporary Gosh-Jailoo border post. The head of the Border Service paid particular attention to the condition of border infrastructure, service facilities, logistical support for units, and the organization of border duty.
To assess the situation on site, Abdikarim Alimbaev personally traveled to hard-to-reach mountainous areas at an altitude of about 2,500 meters above sea level. He visited Asman-Jailoo and Terekti areas, as well as Chashmagildan and Naumin passes, where he conducted reconnaissance of several directions and received reports from unit commanders.
During the visit, the Border Service Chief met with border guards, reviewed their service and living conditions, assessed their equipment, and discussed issues arising in their daily duties.
The trip also included discussions on measures to further improve the social conditions and material support of military personnel.
Abdikarim Alimbaev thanked the personnel for their dedicated service, resilience, and responsible approach to protecting the state border.
The most distinguished servicemen were awarded. On behalf of the head of the agency, letters of appreciation were sent to the parents of conscript soldiers who are conscientiously fulfilling their duties.
