The United Kingdom reaffirmed its commitment to stand alongside Kuwait and support its forces in safeguarding the country, the British Embassy in Kuwait said on Monday.

In a statement posted on social media, the embassy said UK Ambassador to Kuwait Qudsi Rasheed and Military Attache Neil Marriott met last week with personnel from the Royal Air Force Regiment supporting the deployment of the “Rapier Sentry” system, aimed at enhancing Kuwait’s air defense capabilities against drone threats.

The embassy added that the meeting reviewed the nature of their work and the level of close cooperation with Kuwaiti partners.

It welcomed the announcement of a ceasefire, noting that “despite the stabilization of the situation, readiness remains essential,” reaffirming the UK’s continued support for Kuwait’s armed forces in protecting the country. – Kuna
