Full-time – Spain book their place in the World Cup final

The final whistle blows in Dallas, and Spain are through to the FIFA World Cup 2026 final with a commanding 2-0 victory over France in the first semi-final.

After taking the lead through Mikel Oyarzabal’s first-half penalty, La Roja never looked back. Pedro Porro doubled the advantage early in the second half, while Spain’s disciplined defence comfortably kept France at bay despite late efforts from Kylian Mbappé and Ousmane Dembélé.

Luis de la Fuente’s side now await the winner of the second semi-final between England and Argentina, while France will have to settle for a place in the third-place playoff.
