Saudi Arabia’s Ministry of Defense announced that air defense systems intercepted and destroyed several drones that attempted to target petroleum facilities in the Eastern Province and Riyadh.

Ministry spokesman Major General Turki Al-Maliki said the drone attacks were launched from Iraqi territory by Iran-backed terrorist militias.

Al-Maliki stressed that the Kingdom reserves its full right to defend its territory, capabilities and interests, and to respond to such hostile actions at the appropriate time and place.
