Kuwait’s armed forces intercepted 32 hostile drones that entered the country’s airspace since dawn on Thursday, the Ministry of Defense announced.
Official Ministry of Defense spokesperson Major General Saud Abdulaziz Al-Otaibi said the drones were detected and successfully intercepted by the armed forces.
He added that the “Iranian aggression” targeted several vital facilities across the country. Debris from the intercepted drones fell in a number of residential areas, causing material damage to property. However, no casualties or injuries were reported.
Major General Al-Otaibi reaffirmed that the Kuwaiti Armed Forces remain on high alert and continue to carry out their duties with efficiency and readiness to safeguard the nation’s security and ensure the safety of citizens and residents.
