The Kuwait Stock Exchange closed Sunday’s trading session on a positive note, supported by active investor participation and strong market liquidity, as the general index advanced by 12.71 points, or 0.15 percent, to settle at 8,676.04 points.
Market activity remained robust, with 271.1 million shares changing hands through 15,984 cash transactions, generating a total trading value of 60.1 million dinars.
The Main Market Index emerged as the strongest performer during the session, climbing 116.32 points, or 1.33 percent, to close at 8,885.33 points. The index recorded trading of 193.9 million shares through 10,148 transactions, with a value of 30.6 million dinars, reflecting continued investor interest in listed companies.
Meanwhile, the Premier Market Index recorded a slight decline, easing by 8.69 points, or 0.10 percent, to finish at 9,081.79 points. Trading activity in the segment reached 77.1 million shares across 5,836 transactions, with a total value of 29.5 million dinars.
The Main 50 Index also maintained its upward momentum, gaining 167.57 points, or 1.68 percent, to reach 10,167.67 points. The index witnessed trading of 159.6 million shares through 7,647 transactions, valued at 25.4 million dinars.
