Jamaican diver Salim Zulu captured two gold medals on the second day of the Pan Am Aquatics Masters Championships in Buenos Aires, Argentina, on Thursday.
Zulu topped the 30–34 age group in both the 1-metre and 3-metre springboard events to give Jamaica a strong start at the championships.
The Jamaican contingent comprises 18 members, including 17 swimmers and one diver, under the guidance of coach Annelies Denny.
Denny acknowledged the strength of the competition, but remains optimistic about Jamaica’s prospects, particularly in the relay events.
She is hopeful that the team will secure medals in the relays as the championships continue.
