The Jamaica Labour Party, JLP, is scaling back its annual conference this year, with a cancellation of the public session.
Deputy leader of the JLP, Desmond McKenzie, made the announcement at a press conference at the party’s Belmont Road headquarters on Friday.
The conference is set for the Montego Bay Convention Centre on Sunday, November 15 under the theme ‘Stand Up Jamaica- Chanting The Future Together.’
The JLP says it is preparing to welcome 6,000 delegates.
Meanwhile, deputy general secretary, Dr. Andrew Wheatley, says the business session will provide a unique opportunity for the party.
