Jamaica and West Indies all-rounder, Stafanie Taylor, says Cricket West Indies should begin to put succession plans in place for the regional women’s team, with some of the veterans now at the back end of their careers.
The 35-year-old is one of those, having represented the team since age 17.
Taylor became the first West Indian female player to win the ICC Women’s Cricketer of the Year award in 2011.
She was also voted the ICC player of the tournament in the 2016 T20 World Cup which the West Indies won.
For Taylor, Jamaica should also revive its grassroots program which will help attract the next generation of players.
