Five venues across rural Jamaica will be buzzing on Saturday as the ISSA Super Saturday in-season football festival gets underway.

The festival is designed to keep the top-ranked teams match-ready after receiving byes into the second round of the respective competitions.

Thirty teams are involved, with three Manning Cup and three daCosta Cup schools assigned as host venues, Each team will play twice.

There will be no overall champion crowned, but sectional awards and individual performances will provide plenty of incentive for players and coaches, the matches will be 70 minute duration.

Games will be played at St. Georges College, Kirkvine, Glenmuir, Steths and Cornwall College starting at 9.30am

Excelsior are defending Manning Cup champions and assistant coach Keith McTavish says the team is on track with it’s preparations.

Excelsior will be in action at Kirkvine, they’ll face Kemps Hill at 12:30pm then against Manchester at 5pm.
