More than 1,000 rounds of ammunition were seized in St. James over a 24-hour period.

The seizures were made by the JCF’s National Strategic Anti-Gang Division, NSAD.

The police report that on Monday, August 31, an NSAD team executed a search warrant at a premises in Montego Bay.

A search of the location turned up 644 rounds of 9-millimetre cartridges.

The following day, Tuesday, September 1, the NSAD team returned to the location along with lawmen assigned to the Canine Division.

They carried out another search of the premises and seized an additional 620 9-millimetre rounds.

No one was arrested in connection with the seizure.
