Mount Pleasant Academy are just one victory away from securing a place in the 2026 CONCACAF Caribbean Cup after defeating Weymouth Wales of Barbados 1-0 in the quarter-finals of the 2026 CFU Club Shield at the Larry Gomes Stadium in Trinidad on Tuesday.

The narrow but crucial victory sends Mount Pleasant Academy into the semi-finals ,where they will face SV Robinhood of Suriname.

Should they secure a semi-final victory, they would join fellow Jamaican clubs Cavalier and Portmore United in the prestigious regional tournament, further strengthening Jamaica’s representation on the Caribbean football stage.
