A man was shot dead during a dispute with his brother-in-law in Slipe, St Elizabeth Friday afternoon.

Police identified the deceased as 32-year-old Kyle Campbell, otherwise called “Son Son”.

He’s a resident of Slipe district.

Police say the incident happened about 5:30 pm.

During the dispute, Campbell reportedly grabbed a machete.

Police say the 41-year-old brother-in-law then allegedly pulled a firearm and shot Campbell.

He was pronounced dead on arrival at hospital.

Since the start of the year, 21 people have been murdered in St Elizabeth.

Over 60 per cent of the cases have been linked to domestic violence.
