Prime Minister Dr Andrew Holness says the Coopers Pen incident should expel the “freeness mentality” that’s embedded in sections of society.

He says it should instead serve as a turning point in discussions surrounding land ownership.

The Prime Minister again chided East Portland MP, Isat Buchanan, for encouraging persons to scam the government’s relief efforts in Coopers Pen, Trelawny.

According to Dr. Holness, the false promises from previous administrations were the birth of the issue many years ago.
