Former national women’s football team coach, Vin Blaine, has been appointed director of football for the Football Federation of Belize.

Blaine signed a two-year contract last week with an option to renew.

The former Harbour View Premier League winning coach, will be in action almost immediately with Belize in Concacaf Nations League action in September and the UNDER-15 boys travelling to Azerbaijan in October for a World Cup festival, while the U16s compete in the Central American Football Union tournament in El Salvador.

This is not his first stint for Blaine in charge of a national association, having served as technical director of Grenada football and director of football for the US Virgin Islands.
