Uttarakhand weather update: Weather change in the state expected from tomorrow

The weather in Uttarakhand is expected to change once again. The Meteorological Department, Dehradun, has predicted the possibility of thunder, lightning, hailstorm, heavy rain, and gusty winds at speeds of 40 to 50 kmph at isolated places in Nainital, Uttarkashi, Rudraprayag, Chamoli, Bageshwar, and Pithoragarh districts on April 28th. An orange alert has been issued in this regard.

In addition, an orange alert has been issued for Nainital, Dehradun, Tehri, Uttarkashi, Rudraprayag, Chamoli, Bageshwar, and Pithoragarh on April 29th. A yellow alert has also been issued for other districts from April 28th to 30th, in view of the possibility of thunder, lightning, hailstorm, heavy rain, and gusty winds at isolated places.

The State Emergency Operations Center (SEOC) has sent letters to the district magistrates of Nainital, Dehradun, Tehri, Uttarkashi, Rudraprayag, Chamoli, Bageshwar, and Pithoragarh, asking them to ensure precautions. All designated officers of the Disaster Management IRS system and departmental nodal officers will be on high alert.
