A significant update has emerged for young aspirants preparing for government jobs in Uttarakhand. The Uttarakhand Subordinate Service Selection Commission (UKSSSC) has temporarily postponed the scheduled examination for Group ‘C’ posts requiring technical qualifications. An order issued by the Commission clarifies that this examination—originally slated for May 3, 2026—will no longer be held on the scheduled date and has been deferred until further notice. However, the Commission has not provided any concrete or explicit reason for the postponement, citing only “unavoidable circumstances.”
This decision has created a state of uncertainty among the thousands of candidates who have been preparing for this examination for a long time and are now awaiting a new date. It is noteworthy that on March 20, 2026, the Commission had issued an official notification announcing the dates for two key examinations: May 3, 2026, for posts requiring specialized technical qualifications, and May 17, 2026, for the Graduate-Level Re-examination.
However, the latest order pertains solely to the postponement of the technical examination scheduled for May 3. Conversely, no new updates or changes have surfaced regarding the Graduate-Level Re-examination scheduled for May 17. This suggests that, for the time being, that particular examination is likely to proceed as per its original schedule.
