Rajasthan Royals registered their fourth consecutive win in IPL 2026. The team defeated defending champions Royal Challengers Bangalore by six wickets on Friday. Interesting moments were witnessed at the Barsapara Cricket Stadium in Guwahati.
Vaibhav Suryavanshi reached his half-century in just 15 balls, hitting a six to complete his fifty. Meanwhile, Virat Kohli was bowled by Ravi Bishnoi after a good start. In terms of records, RCB scored 200 or more for the 37th time in the IPL, equaling Chennai Super Kings. Kohli also became the first player to register over 900 runs against Rajasthan Royals.
Royal Challengers Bangalore scored 201 runs for the loss of eight wickets in 20 overs, thanks to a half-century from captain Rajat Patidar. In response, Rajasthan Royals won the match with 12 balls to spare, thanks to a stormy innings from Vaibhav Suryavanshi and a strong innings from Dhruv Jurel. Rajasthan scored 202 runs for the loss of four wickets in 18 overs.
Rajasthan Wins Fourth Consecutive Match
Rajasthan Royals have won their fourth consecutive match in IPL 2026. Rajasthan defeated Chennai Super Kings by 8 wickets in their first match. In the second match, Riyan Parag’s team defeated Gujarat Titans by 6 runs. In the third match, Rajasthan defeated Mumbai Indians by 27 runs in a rain-affected match. They also won their fourth consecutive match by defeating Royal Challengers Bangalore by 6 wickets. With this, Rajasthan remains at the top of the points table. Meanwhile, this was the first defeat for RCB who had lifted the trophy in the previous edition.
Chasing a target of 202, Rajasthan Royals had a poor start, losing Yashasvi Jaiswal (13) in the very first over. Dhruv Jurel, who came in to bat, added a blistering 108 runs for the second wicket with Vaibhav Suryavanshi. Krunal Pandya gave RCB a major breakthrough by dismissing Vaibhav Suryavanshi in the ninth over. Vaibhav Suryavanshi played a blistering innings of 78 runs in 26 balls, hitting eight fours and seven sixes.
On the very next ball, Krunal took the wicket of Shimron Hetmyer (0). In the next over, Josh Hazlewood dismissed captain Riyan Parag (3). RR, which was in trouble after losing three wickets for five runs, was rescued by Ravindra Jadeja along with Dhruv Jurel and led the team to victory. There was an unbeaten partnership of 68 runs between the two batsmen. Josh Hazlewood and Krunal Pandya took two wickets each for RCB.
